Urushi Small Plate

A small dish ideal as a side plate or for deserts. ⁡They are produced using a technique called Hakeme which involves hand-painted brush marks and consequently a high level of skill because once painted it cannot be altered.

Traditional Echizen lacquer is said to take 100 years to fully harden but through research and collaboration, the lacquer they have developed is immediately 'dishwasher proof'.
