      If you’d like to try at home here are Aki's simple recipes:
Zakuro-shu (Pomegranate Fruit Wine)
Pomegranates: 2 large
Lemons: 2
Rock sugar: 100g
Vodka: 1L
Instructions:
Remove the pomegranite seeds
Slice the lemons
Place all the ingredients into the jar and seal.
Ready to drink after two months. Remove the lemons once they start discolouring to avoid bitterness from the skin.
Kinkan Shochu (Shochu with Kumquat Honey)
Kumquats: 200g
Honey: 200g
Shochu: 360ml
Instructions:
Prick the kumquats with a toothpick.
Place all the ingredients into the jar and seal.
Ready to drink after two months.
