Montbell is a Japanese outdoor brand founded in 1975 by mountaineer Isamu Tatsuno, born from the idea: “Let’s make the gear we want to use.” Frustrated with the limitations of existing gear, Tatsuno set out to create lightweight, functional equipment suited to Japan’s demanding mountain conditions.
