An umbrella stand designed by Naoki Terada. Made of 2" x 2" pieces of dimensional lumber fixed to a steel plate. It holds up to nine umbrellas that be arranged in a compact manner within a space of 240x240mm. Ideak for a narrow domestic hallway or when using  while 2-3 units joined together suitable for public spaces.

Ishinomaki Laboratory

Founded in 2011 in response to the Great East Japan Earthquake, ISHINOMAKI LABORATORY was established to support the recovery of Ishinomaki City. Led by architect Keiji Ashizawa, a team of passionate designers collected repair tools and timber to create a public DIY space, encouraging community creativity and self-reliance. They later expanded into designing and producing furniture, launching the brand “Ishinomaki Koubou,” which promotes handmade craftsmanship both locally and internationally.
