Snow Peak began in 1958 when mountaineer Yukio Yamai created superior climbing gear. Based in Sanjo City, Niigata Prefecture, known for fine metalwork, the company draws inspiration from its natural surroundings. Since 1980, Tohru Yamai, Yukio's son, has led Snow Peak to national recognition. The company’s mission is to bring people closer to nature, believing outdoor experiences reveal our humanity.
