Maekake Apron


This traditional Japanese apron or ‘Maekake’ (which translates as ‘hanging in front’) is woven on a vintage shuttle loom, exactly the same way they were made 250 years ago.
Crafted from thick, cotton canvas and hand indigo-dyed, this durable apron includes the traditional fringed bottom and two side pockets. Unisex and one size fits most.

Care Instructions

Machine wash cold. Wash with similar colours as dye may transfer to other fabrics. Do not tumble dry.
