This director's chair was first designed in 1980, ten years after the original Nychair X, and relaunched in 2022.

The clever and unique folding mechanism makes this chair even smaller when folded, making it easier to carry it between different spaces. The main focus remains on comfort and leisure, but thanks to the higher seat and more upright body position, the chair is perfect not only for solitary relaxation, but also for socializing and meals.

Care Instructions

We recommend using these chairs outside only for short periods of time to avoid sun-bleaching and damage. The canvas seat can be removed for professional dry cleaning. The four screws connecting the armrests and frame will need periodic tightening with a cross head screwdriver. The wood handles will show natural variation and patina over time.
