A plate stand made from cherry wood, oil-finished. Designed on commission from Nishikizan Kiln — a Kutani overglaze studio — who needed something appropriate for displaying fine ceramics without competing with them.

The torque hinge sets the opening angle at any position and holds it there; when fully open, the hinge disappears from view behind the stand. The brass fitting that secures the plate is sized to sit right with both thin porcelain and thicker ceramics.

Made in Japan.

Construction

Torque hinge allows the opening angle to be set at any position and held there. When fully open, the hinge is hidden from the front. Brass fittings at the front secure the plate; sized to work with both thin porcelain and thicker ceramics.

Care

Wipe clean with a dry cloth. Avoid moisture contact.
