A small serving dish ideal for nuts, olives or condiments. Produced using a technique called Hakeme involving hand-painted brush marks and consequently a high level of skill, as once painted it cannot be altered.
Traditional Echizen lacquer is said to take 100 years to fully harden but through research and collaboration, the lacquer they have developed is immediately 'dishwasher proof'.
