Tucked away in a garage under a 1960s housing block in Camberwell, BABYLDN is on its way to becoming a South East London institution.
Founded by Marlon Plein, its a community bike shop focused on education, lo-fi repairs, and custom builds. And for their latest custom build we gave them a tokyobike to toy with!
Marlon discovered a love of bikes almost by chance and is evangelical about the power of bikes to do good, with BABYLDN considered a vital social enterprise and a central hub for cycling culture.
BABYLDN runs an open-to-the-public community bike repair and spares workshop on Wednesdays and Saturdays (12pm–4pm), offering free / cheap bike repairs to the local community.
