Let’s Make Your Pocket Family Book
Friday 30th October 10am - 12pm
Join us and Japanese author and illustrator Kazuko Matt for a special drawing and storytelling session for families at tokyobike Shoreditch, during her visit to the UK.
Tickets are £10 and include a copy of the book.
Inspired by her new picture book, The Wonderful Pocket Family, children and families will spend the session drawing, colouring, inventing characters and making up stories together. Families will create their own Pocket Family characters, think about the things they love to do, and imagine where their Pocket Family might go on an adventure. Turning their ideas into their own Pocket Family book.
There will also be a chance to meet Kazuko and have your copy of The Wonderful Pocket Family signed on the day.
About Kazuko Matt
Kazuko Matt is a Japanese illustrator and children's book author living in Sapporo, Japan. After studying graphic design at London Polytechnic, she began her career as an illustrator for magazines and books. She has studied woodcut print at Musashino Art University in Tokyo and her books have been published in Japan, France, and Italy.
