Designed by Torafu Architects, the mid century, steel framed warehouse was converted into a 3 storey space housing a coffee shop from Arise Coffee Roasters and a plant shop by The Plant Society, all alongside a full service tokyobike operation with sales, servicing, and rentals.

To provide continuity from the outside space, highly transparent polycarbonate fittings were installed where the original shutters once were. The original concrete floor was left in place to accommodate bikes being wheeled in and out. An over-sized staircase connecting the first and second floors can be used to perch with a cup of coffee.

There is a dedicated 'garage' for repairs and custom bikes as well as a 'kids' area with playful elements designed to engage little ones getting their very first wheels.

The high ceilings and voluminous space makes it ideal for the regular events and exhibitions hosted at the store. Look out for events @tokyobiketokyo

The Kiyosumi Shirakawa area that's home to the tokyobike Tokyo store is a great place to begin exploring. It has a 'downtown' relaxed feel with many canals and bridges.
