A lightweight stool for children, designed by Keiji Ashizawa, from a collaboration between Ishinomaki Laboratory and Woset. The rounded cutouts on the seat and sides reduce the weight and make it easier for children to grab and carry it. When viewed from the side, the holes, screws, and round bar together resemble one of the characters, Doona, from Woset world - simple and playful.

Ishinomaki Laboratory
Founded in 2011 in response to the Great East Japan Earthquake, ISHINOMAKI LABORATORY was established to support the recovery of Ishinomaki City. Led by architect Keiji Ashizawa, a team of passionate designers collected repair tools and timber to create a public DIY space, encouraging community creativity and self-reliance. They later expanded into designing and producing furniture, launching the brand “Ishinomaki Koubou,” which promotes handmade craftsmanship both locally and internationally.
