South Downs
We went on a bikepacking trip through the South Downs National Park, where the constant up and down of the hills kept us working hard. Some of the climbs were so steep that we had to get off our bikes and push to the top. From there, we’d look out over the landscape, searching for a place to rest for the night.
In the morning, we discovered we had camped above the fog, with the world below still hidden in mist. We packed up, enjoyed our morning coffee on the hilltop, and as the weather turned rainy, we knew it was time to get going. The terrain shifted from dry to wet, making the ride slippery at times, but we pressed on, tackling those hills again and again.
When we finally reached our destination, the sight of the beach was a welcome relief. We ended the day with some well-deserved fish and chips by the sea, satisfied with the adventure we had just completed.
